Dr. Whitley Heitsch, DC
I grew up in Hermosa, South Dakota, and spent most of my childhood on the court, on the field, or in the arena. I played basketball and softball and grew up rodeoing, eventually taking that passion with me to Wyoming for college rodeo, where I competed in goat tying and breakaway roping.
Balancing school, athletics, and rodeo taught me a lot about discipline, but it also taught me how important it is to take care of your body. Chiropractic care became a regular part of my life and helped me keep up with the demands of an active lifestyle. Experiencing that for myself is a big part of what drew me to chiropractic.
I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor since I was in eighth grade, and that never changed. After college, I made the big move from South Dakota to Dallas, Texas, where I spent three and a half years earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Parker University.
Now, I'm excited to bring everything I've learned back home.
My faith has always been an important part of my life, and I truly believe God has a purpose for each season we're in. One verse I've continued to come back to throughout my journey is Esther 4:14: “...perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created for.”
I feel incredibly blessed to be stepping into the chiropractic profession at a time when more people are taking an active interest in their health and looking for more natural, individualized approaches to care. I don't take it for granted that I get to begin this career here, in the community that has always been home to me, and I truly believe God has me here for a reason.
I believe good healthcare starts with listening. Every person who walks through the door has a different history, lifestyle, job, family, and set of goals. My job is to understand those things and use them to help guide your care.
I want Heritage Chiro to be a place where you feel comfortable asking questions, understand why we're doing what we're doing, and leave feeling like you have someone in your corner. My goal isn't just to help you feel better today, but to give you the knowledge and tools to take an active role in your health.
Coming home and serving the community that has been such an important part of my life is something I don't take for granted.
I'm glad you're here.
